RUSH 100 Pack & RUSH Duffle Stack (below)

The RUSH100 (100hr) was a privilege to work on and wear test for the whole team. Adding an item to the legacy RUSH franchise was a deliberate but delicate task. From ideation to commercialization, building this bag was straight forward and without compromise. Durability, Modularity, and Heritage had to be blended properly to result in a solid field pack at an accessible price. The 1” flatbar aluminum perimeter frame is truly unique and successful in carrying loads far past lightweight consideration (it’s the engine under the hood). This bag was designed for the professional in the backcountry and field. Someone who might have a lightweight mentality but the gear and equipment they need to carry for their mission might go beyond traditional outdoor overnight pack load out weights.

The RUSH Franchise of Backpacks is the number 2 SKU at 5.11 behind Taclite Pants, both icons and classics. Adding peripheral product to the franchise was a big deal to top management. Increased labor charges since the RUSH packs were developed presented a challenge for a meticulous yet intuitive construction and build. The result was a seamless addition to the franchise. The LBD name and visual language have set a whole new tone for a visual aesthetic of cubed accessory bags in the Range Ready and Load Ready bag lines for 5.11.
